Γραπτό VS ψηφιακό journaling

Written VS digital journaling

Journaling is the habit that we have made part of our daily life with great pleasure, as it helps us to organize more efficiently and set more realistic goals for the tasks we want to complete.

We are one of those people who greatly appreciate technology, as well as the convenience and advantages it offers, such as electronic file sharing, digital whiteboards or note-taking applications. We've wondered and debated the written vs. digital journaling debate at length, but we've come to the conclusion that the scales tip towards the former for us, and we're going to share with you why.

The biggest disadvantage of electronic journaling is the limitation of our creativity. You can of course add pictures, emoticons or digital stickers to an electronic file, but it's not the same. You can personalize a written journal as much as you want. Plus, drawing little doodles on paper is almost a therapeutic experience, and we don't have that with digital journaling.

An additional reason is the need to take a break from screens. At work as well as in our personal lives, we spend a lot of time on the mobile phone or on the computer, which is very tiring for our eyes, but also sometimes psychologically. Keeping a written journal allows us to take a much-needed break.

After all, we're the type who like the feel of writing on paper. That doesn't mean we're boomers, but that we appreciate the classic.
